Points to be remember:
● Don’t Skip any meal.
● Eat 6 small meals instead of three big meals.
● Get more healthy carbs throughout the day. (whole grain,
fruits, vegetables, good protein, good fat)
● Eat plenty of vegetables, curd, fish, poultry, nuts, whole
grains & millets and pulses to provide all extra vitamins
and minerals, protein & energy.
● Eat a combination of cold pressed fats like- coconut oil,
olive oil & sunflower oil.
● Weight gain should be monitored.

● Food consumption should be safe & clean.
● Get enough (8 hrs) sound sleep, be stress free.
● Include Green tea: Take 2 cups/ day
● Limit Junk Food and Avoid Binge Eating
● Measure Your Portions: Portion distortion is a major
contributor to weight gain .Measuring portions is one way
to ensure that you don’t overeat. It shouldn’t be done
forever, but at least for a few days to give you a base
understanding.
● Take heavy breakfast, moderate lunch and light dinner
and soup, salads as snacks.
● Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness is a form of
meditation that trains the mind to be more present and
focused. It’s been shown to reduce stress-related
overeating and increase recognition of hunger and satiety
signals. Thus, it may be helpful in controlling body weight.
What to Avoid :

● Low fiber breakfast cereals such as cornflakes and white


bread, refined flour products
● Avoid red meats.
● Avoid Fried foods, fast foods, pickles, canned foods.
● Avoid carbonated beverages , Sugar & sweetened
beverages- soda, sweet tea, energy drinks, sports drink
etc
