PROCEDURE FOR BARANGAY REGULAR SESSION

1. CALL TO ORDER
The Presiding Officer (Punong Barangay or authorized officer) calls the session to order.

2. ROLL CALL AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM


The Barangay Secretary performs a roll call.
A quorum is declared if at least 4 out of 7 Barangay Kagawads are present.

3. READING AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES


The Secretary reads the minutes from the previous session.
Corrections or amendments may be raised.
Motion for approval is made and seconded.

4. ORDER OF BUSINESS / AGENDA


- Unfinished Business – Pending items from previous sessions.
- New Business – New proposals, resolutions, or ordinances.
- Committee Reports – Reports from standing committees (e.g., Appropriations, Peace &
Order, Health, etc.).
- Barangay Chairman’s Report – Updates and relevant information.
- Proposed Projects or Programs – Barangay development activities.
- Community Issues/Concerns – Raised by officials or residents.

5. DISCUSSIONS AND MOTIONS


Members discuss agenda items.
Motions must be clearly stated, seconded, and deliberated upon.

6. VOTING
Matters are voted upon by:
- Voice vote
- Raising of hands
- Roll call (if necessary)
Simple majority is required for approval.

7. OTHER MATTERS / OPEN FORUM

8. ADJOURNMENT
