MATH-SCI FAIR 2023

PARADE OF TEAMS (PART 1)

BAGUIO : Let us welcome, Team Copernicus along with their mathematician and scientist!

CAMSA : Team Archimedes!

BAGUIO : Team Einstein!

CAMSA : And last but not the least, Team...Newton!

BAGUIO : May I request everyone to please take your seats as we’ll read to you the criteria for judging
for the mathematician and scientist.

BAGUIO: Partner, may you please read the mechanics for the mathematician and scientist?

CAMSA: Of course Partner! Allow me to

read to you the mechanics and criteria for the mathematician and scientist!

CAMSA: There shall be only (2) participants for each team (1 mathematician and 1 scientist).

The participant should be bona fide student

At the Assumption Polytechnic College of Southern Mindanao Incorporated.

CAMSA: The mathematician and scientist who will be represented by the team shall be picked randomly
by the adviser of each team on September 6, 2023.

CAMSA: Each team must prepare a short description of mathematician’s/scientist’s life and contributions
which will be narrated during the competition.

CAMSA: The props and costumes to be used must be in accordance to the rules and regulations of
Assumption Polytechnic College of Southern Mindanao.

CAMSA: The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

BAGUIO : Thank you Partner, now, we will have the criteria for judging.

We have; Accuracy — 30%

Presentation/projection — 30%

Costume — 20%

Resourcefulness — 20%

A total of — 100%.
BAGUIO : Now, let’s move on to the board of judges for this year’s event!

CAMSA: May I request everyone to please stand and remain standing as we pray our opening prayer to
be led by the sayaw assumptionista and to sing our national anthem alongside the voices of hope
chorale.

BAGUIO & CAMSA: A hopeful morning everyone!

CAMSA: Is everyone excited for today?

BAGUIO: If that’s the case, let us welcome our ever loving, jolly mathematics teacher—

Ma’am Leonebelle T. Villanel!

Thank you Ma’am Belle for that warm welcome message!

CAMSA: Now before we formally start our event for this morning, The Sayaw Assumptionista Club has
prepared something for everyone. Right partner?

BAGUIO: Yes Indeed partner!

Let’s give it up for Sayaw Assumptionista!

CAMSA: What a splendid performance from Sayaw Assumptionista!

But it seems the students are waiting for something partner!

BAGUIO : I can see that partner! Now, to formally start our events this morning

Allow me to read the General Mechanics and Guidelines first.

BAGUIO:
There are 4 teams who will compete in the competition namely: Copernicus, Einstein, Newton, and
Archimedes.

The team that garners the highest points will receive 50 points from subjects Mathematics and Science a
performance task. The overall ranking point system is as follows:

Rank 1st — 50 points

Rank 2nd — 40 points

Rank 3rd — 35 points

Rank 4th — 30 points

The competition strictly follows the Official Point System for all the events.

Rank 1st — 100 points

Rank 2nd— 80 points

Rank 3rd — 60 points

Rank 4th — 40 points

All the mechanics for each event shall be strictly followed.

The list of participants must be submitted to the SAC office on or before September 20, 2023.

Decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

CAMSA: Now, let us move on to the events this morning! First up, we have the Rubik’s Cube! But before
that, let me read to you the mechanics.

BAGUIO: Wow! Did you see the skills of the students by each team partner?

CAMSA: I did and sure are talented!

CAMSA: Let’s move on to the

Sudoku!

Partner! For you, for who is Sudoku made?

BAGUIO: Ah—for me partner, Sudoku is for the students who are fast in thinking, especially numbers!

But it is free for everyone to try on!

Now let me read to you the mechanics for the Sudoku!

BAGUIO : Now! Its time to showcase the students from each team their artistic skills in a
game..Minecraft!

In this event, students goal is to build the APCSM campus and show their artistic skills through gadgets!

CAMSA: For our first event this afternoon, this event requires skills to be able to conduct
experiments and to be able to elaborate their work to us and the judges.
Let’s start our afternoon events with SIP or Science Investigatory Project coming up as the first
event this afternoon!
Let me first read the mechanics and criteria for this certain event.

BAGUIO: Partner, may I ask you something?


What do you call those things that are made by either recycled materials or common materials?
Like those famous contributions by scientists? Like the blueprint of life— DNA, or the X shaped
thingy that carries the DNA — Chromosomes, or, or those things made by John Dalton,
Thomson, Rutherford’s? , Bohr’s? ,or even the quantum version?

CAMSA: Partner those are called Models.


BAGUIO: Alright, now do you have an idea for what’ll be the next event this afternoon?
CAMSA: 3D MODELING it is partner!
BAGUIO: Great partner! Now that we know the next event for this afternoon, let us first read the
mechanics for the 3D modeling!
