England

1 I went on an exchange to 1………………….. last year and it was a really good

experience. First, I practised my English a lot, especially with my
host family because they didn’t speak any German. So my English really

improved. I also made a lot of new friends. I think it’s great when you have
countries
friends in other 3…………………..; it’s interesting to talk to them about diff
yourself
erent things. Also, I think you learn to do things for 4………………….. when you
go to another country. You can’t just ask your parents or your friends all the
exchange
time. You have to think for yourself. I might go on an 5………………….. to Spain
next year. That would be good!

2 My school organised an exchange visit to Italy last year. In some ways it

difficult
was really 6………………….. because my Italian wasn’t very good, so it was diffi
cult to talk to my host family. But it was good that I had to work hard and try
confident
to speak. It made me more 7………………….., and now I know that I can use my
Italian. My host family were really nice – so kind. I now feel like I have
a second family in Italy and I’m definitely going to visit them again. The best
different
thing was living in a 8………………….. culture. Living in another country teaches
you so much and it helps you understand how people in other countries are
same as you
different, and how they are the 9…………………..…………………..
