Round 2
Proposal and Prototype
Submission
Instructions
Submission Requirements:
1. Project Report: Each team must submit a detailed project report
addressing the following points:
Problem Statement: Clearly define the problem being addressed.
Scope of the Problem: Explain the magnitude and impact of the issue.
Description of concepts, theories, and/or approaches utilized in your
solution.
Financial details, including an estimated budget and cost analysis.
Technical specifications, including pictorial representations such as block
diagrams or flowcharts.
Flow of operations demonstrating the solution's key features and
functionality.
Performance estimates to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of
the solution.
Experimentation or verification steps undertaken to establish the solution's
feasibility.
Highlight its uniqueness and advantages over existing solutions.
A link to the video prototype showcasing the functionality and innovation of
the solution.
2. Video Prototype:
Submit a working prototype video demonstrating the solution's functionality and
innovative aspects.
The video must:
a. Showcase a breadboard circuit or bench prototype (if applicable).
b. Highlight the solution’s key functionalities, even if error-handling
mechanisms are not yet fully implemented.
c. The duration of the video should not exceeding 5 mins.
d. Be uploaded to a Google Drive folder along with related pictures. Include the
drive link in the report.
e. Make sure to keep the drive link open for all , otherwise we won’t be able to
access , hence will not consider your submission for evaluation.
Instructions
3. Google Drive Folder: Must contain
Project report in PDF format
Video of the working prototype.
Images, additional documentation or evidence supporting the feasibility of the
project.
(Note: Video and report are the actual deliverables. Images and supporting docs will be seen only if
necessary.)
4.Submission Details:
1. The google drive link needs to be shared as final deliverable.
2.Make sure to keep the drive link open for all , otherwise we won’t be able to
access , hence will not consider your submission for evaluation.
3. Follow the naming convention strictly for your report and video submissions.
Naming Convention for Report:
AtomQuest2024_[TeamName]_[CollegeName]_Report
Example: AtomQuest2024_TechInnovators_IITDelhi_Report
Naming Convention for Video:
AtomQuest2024_[TeamName]_[CollegeName]_Video
Example: AtomQuest2024_TechInnovators_IITDelhi_Video
Naming Convention for Drive:
AtomQuest2024_[TeamName]_[CollegeName]_Folder
Example: AtomQuest2024_TechInnovators_IITDelhi_Folder
Submissions that do not adhere to the format will not be considered for evaluation.
4. Deadline:
The project report and video prototype submission deadline is tentatively
scheduled between December 23rd and 25th. The exact date will be
confirmed soon.
Advisory: It is strongly recommended that you finalize your prototype by 20th
December to allow sufficient time for submission and review.
Evaluation Criteria
Apart from the specific evaluation criteria tailored to the problem statements, the
submissions will also be evaluated by a panel of experts on the following generic
parameters:
1. Creativity and Novelty: The uniqueness and innovative aspects of the
solution.
2. Originality: The project must be original and not derived from existing
patented or copyrighted work.
3. Performance: The efficiency and effectiveness of the solution in addressing
the problem.
4. Financial Viability: The cost-effectiveness and feasibility of the solution.
5. Durability and Usability: Practicality and longevity of the prototype.
6. Aesthetic Appeal: Visual and design elements (if applicable).
7. Error Handling: Inclusion and effectiveness of error management systems.
8. Implementation Ability: Ease of implementation and repeatability under
diverse conditions.
9. Scalability: Potential to expand the solution to larger scales or diverse
environments.
10. Potential Impact: The societal benefit, scale of the problem solved, and the
number of people impacted
11. Design Optimization: Efficiency and thoughtfulness of the design process.
12. Ergonomics: Usability and user-friendly aspects of the product (if relevant).
