KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 — Malaysia has recorded its highest number of data breach cases this year, with an all-time high of 15
reported cases a week involving mainly ransomware attacks. The situation has sparked concern over related cybercrimes and phone
scams, which have led to millions of ringgit in losses annually.
Data breaches have become increasingly common worldwide, causing significant damage to both individuals and companies.
Malaysia has been particularly hard hit by these incidents, with several high-profile data breaches occurring in a short period. In
December 2022, a data breach allegedly involving a banking institution as well as a multimedia and broadcast agency was reported,
with millions of Malaysians’ personal information being sold online.
Task
You are required to give your review on data breach. You are requested to merge your finding into a report. You report should cover
as below:
