Seeking God's kingdom.It teaches that seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these
things will be added to you.(Mathew 6:33) Seeking God's kingdom is essential for a healthy soul.
Trusting in God. Scriptures teache about the trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean your
own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6) trusting in God is vital for soul care.
Power in the Lord. Scriptures teaches that 'for the word of God is living and active and sharper than any
two edged sword. Even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit(Hebrews 4:12)
Restoration
God's restoration. The law of the Lord is perfect.restoring the soul (Psalm 19:7). God's word has the
power to restore our souls.
Shepherding care. The Lord is my shepherd, I will not be in need . He lets me lie down in green pastures .
He leads me besides quiet waters (Psalms 23:1-3)
God protect us and acts as shepherd restoring and guiding us.
Jesus' ministry. Jesus ministry demonstrates comprehensive care for the whole person including physical
and spiritual healing.
In conclusion, by priotising spiritual health, seeking God's kingdom and trinity in Him, we can experience
restoration and care for our souls.
Counseling is a form of ministry in the life of the church in the following ways.
The great mission. Counseling is an expression of the great mission (Mathew 28:18-20) where believers
are called to make disciples and care for one another.
Spiritual guidance. Counseling helps in spiritual guidance, helping individuals understand and apply
biblical principles to their lives.
Compassionate care. Counseling involves compassionate care, demonstrating God's love and mercy to
those in need.
Community based. Counseling is a ministry because it often occurs with the context of community
recognizing the importance of relationship and accountability.
Pastoral care. Counseling emphasizes the importance of spiritual care. Also the importance of spiritual
care. Also the Bible advices leaders that they are called to shepherd and nature the flock(Peter 5:2-
3)Servant leadership. Counselors serve as servant leaders, modeling Christ humanity and love.
Equipping Sants. Counseling is a ministry because counselors equip saints to give out their faith helping
them develop spiritual maturity and resilience.
It is a ministry because it points individuals to Christ, emphasizing the importance of personal
relationship with Him.

Christ. I would emphasise that he is loved, valued and accepted by God ( john 3:16, Romans 8:38-39)

Scripture meditation: I would suggest that the person would meditate on scripture focusing on God's

Need for medication. If the person would benefit from medication to manage their symptoms such as
anti depression or anti anxiety medications
Lack of progress. I would give a referral if the person is not making progress in counseling despite a good
therapistic relationship and evidence based interventions.
