The document discusses two tasks: the first task analyzes a line graph depicting computer possession in a European country from 1997 to 2011, highlighting a significant decrease in households without computers and an increase in those with multiple computers. The second task presents a debate on the merits and drawbacks of hosting international sports events, arguing that while there are financial challenges, the potential benefits include economic growth, tourism, and job creation. Ultimately, the author supports the idea that the advantages of hosting such events outweigh the disadvantages.

Task 1: The graph below gives information about computer possession by

household in one European country between 1997 and 2011. Summarize the
information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant. Write at least 150 words

The line graph illustrates data on the number of households with computer, which was
recorded in one European country, over a 15-year period, commencing from 1997.

Overall, the data reveals a decline in the percentage of people living without
computer, while the majority of residents opt to use computers, with the number
demonstrated a stable movement. Looking at the percentage of households with more
than two computer reflected a growth trajectory.

At the beginning, in 1997 the highest proportion of individuals without computers was
around 48%. After this year, this figure dramatically contracted to under 20% by
2011. Comparing this to households with two computers lagged far behind, starting at
8% in 1997 and showed an ascending pattern to nearly 30% after 15 years.

Turning to singled-computer household, during the number of families without

computer decreased, almost every household had at least one computer. This
percentage peaked at approximately 45% , remaining a period of stability over 15
years. Finally, households with more than three computers constituted a small
percentage that day, recording about 10% in 2011. There slightly surged and
extremely a marginal development.

Task 2: Some people think that organizing international sports events is good for
the host country while others think it is bad. Discuss both views and state your
opinion.

It is a common trend that many people think that organizing international sports
events is a opportunity for the host country in the future, whereas others believe that it
is unworthy. From my perspective, although there are some negative influences but I
still agree with the merit.

On the one hand, when the host country have to organize a sports events for another
countries participate, they have to face with some problems. Firstly, the organizer
have to pay a large number of money and if they do not have enough money, they
have to deal with poverty and it may cause a heavy problem with the national
financial. Secondly, the enormous money using for sports events should solve some
challenge that residents in that country have to endure everyday.
On the other side of the argument, there are variety reason why organizing
international sports events is a good chance with the host country. Initially, by hosting
international sports competitions, that country can bring back a variable opportunities,
for examples it may help people escape from unemployment and the country can
improve business. Furthermore, a huge number of tourists will know about that
country and the government can enhance the tourism through festivals so that more
visitors can learn our traditional and cultural. Not only for tourism but it also can
develop the foreign economic around the world. Especially, the host country can know
that they can organize and do more things like this and they do not have to afraid
anything.

In conclusion, it seems to me that there are many advantages for having international
events, although this still has some notable disadvantages.
