HIGHLAND WOOL SCARF

Yarn & Needles:

2 balls SMC Select, Highland Alpaca Fino, Cream #07325
50% Alpaca, 50% Andean Highland new wool
Ball size: 50g, approx. 250m (273yds)
Tension: 10cm / 4in square = 25 sts x 32 rows
Needles: 3.50mm - 4.00mm (US 4 - 6)

I used single-pointed needles size 3.75mm (US 5) for tighter knitting. The scarf measures about 13cm x 2m
(5in x 79in) after washing. You can try other needles and types of yarn if you wish. It is a good idea to knit
a few squares to test the tension and how the knitting will look. Always ensure you buy enough yarn from
the same dye lot.

NOTES:

 You might find bamboo/wood needles easier to work with this kind of yarn.
 Because of the pattern, the sides will naturally curl.
 You can wear this scarf as a tube after knitting or flatter after blocking.
 You can try spray blocking or washing. Washing will be more effective for this type of scarf.
 ABBREVIATIONS: K: Knit / P: Purl
