COMMENTS:
The starboard drive unit broke away at time of grounding as it is engineered to do. This saves possible hull damage and
possible sinking due to water intrusion. The aft direction to the bend of the two after most drive connection bolts
indicates the direction of travel before grounding.
Damage reported by owner to cabin, cockpit grill cover and forward cabin door does not appear consistent with
grounding.
CONCLUSION
Damage sighted and noted in the damage section of this report, is the type normally expected to occur as alleged and
appears to have been caused by vessel grounding at speed.
Cost of repairs in the amount of $_N/A________________is fair, reasonable, and in line with costs in this area.
REPORT SUBMITTED WITHOUT PREJUDICE.
