Formal Job Interview Script

Setting: A mock interview room with a professional setup.

Characters:

 Deepanshu: Interviewer 1 (HR Manager role)

 Sulabh: Interviewer 2 (Team Lead role)

 Gauhar: Candidate 1

 Yash: Candidate 2

Deepanshu: (Welcoming) Good morning! Welcome to this mock interview session. We appreciate
your presence today. Let’s start with brief introductions. Gauhar, could you introduce yourself?

Gauhar: (Confidently) Good morning, sir. My name is Gauhar Zaidi, a 2nd-year BBA student
specializing in HRM at Galgotias University. I have a CGPA of 7.8 and am particularly passionate about
employee engagement and organizational development.

Sulabh: Impressive. Could you tell us about a project or experience that showcases your HR skills?

Gauhar: Certainly. I recently worked on a project about Business Communication where I analyzed
workplace conflicts and proposed strategies for resolution. This enhanced my problem-solving and
interpersonal skills.

Deepanshu: Excellent. Yash, could you introduce yourself and share a key strength?

Yash: (Calmly) Good morning, sir. I’m Yash Singh, also a 2nd-year BBA HRM student at Galgotias. One
of my strengths is adaptability. I performed well in a Financial Research project, which required
teamwork and adjusting to tight deadlines.

Sulabh: Good to hear. Gauhar, how would you handle a situation where an employee is consistently
underperforming?

Gauhar: I would first have a one-on-one meeting to understand the challenges the employee is
facing. Based on that, I’d provide constructive feedback, set achievable goals, and follow up regularly
to ensure improvement.

Deepanshu: Good approach. Yash, if you were tasked with hiring for a senior role, what key qualities
would you look for in a candidate?

Yash: I’d prioritize leadership skills, relevant experience, and cultural fit within the organization. I’d
also assess their ability to mentor junior employees.

Sulabh: (Nods) Thank you both. That concludes our session. We’ll provide feedback shortly.

Gauhar and Yash: Thank you for the opportunity, sir.

Informal Job Interview Script
Setting: A casual discussion setup, possibly a classroom.

Characters:

 Gauhar: Interviewer 1 (Friendly)

 Yash: Interviewer 2 (Supportive)

 Deepanshu: Candidate 1

 Sulabh: Candidate 2

Gauhar: Hey guys! Welcome to this mock interview session. Let’s keep it casual but insightful.
Deepanshu, let’s start with you. Can you introduce yourself?

Deepanshu: (Relaxed) Sure! I’m Deepanshu Sharma, a 2nd-year BBA student at Galgotias University.
I’m really passionate about understanding HR strategies and how they shape organizations.

Yash: That’s great! And Sulabh, what about you?

Sulabh: (Friendly) Hi, I’m Sulabh Singh. Same batch as Deepanshu. I’m especially interested in
recruitment and employee engagement. Recently, I worked on a project about workplace motivation
strategies, which taught me a lot.

Gauhar: Nice! Deepanshu, let’s say you’re the HR manager, and an employee asks for a raise during
their performance review. How would you handle it?

Deepanshu: (Thinks) Hmm... I’d start by reviewing their performance over the past year and checking
the company’s salary structure. If their performance justifies it and the budget allows, I’d advocate
for the raise.

Yash: Good answer! Sulabh, how would you deal with a conflict between two employees in your
team?

Sulabh: I’d first talk to both employees individually to understand their perspectives. Then, I’d bring
them together for a discussion and work on finding a common ground to resolve the conflict.

Gauhar: Smart approach! Alright, last question for both of you. What’s an HR trend you think will
dominate the future?

Deepanshu: I think AI in HR processes, like recruitment and employee analytics, will continue to
grow. It saves time and provides better insights.

Sulabh: Agreed. I’d add a focus on mental health and well-being programs. Employees value
organizations that care about their well-being.

Yash: Great points! That’s a wrap. You guys did really well. Let’s catch up over chai and discuss the
feedback!

Deepanshu and Sulabh: (Laughing) Sounds like a plan. Thanks, guys!
