we begin, we kindly ask that you complete your registration at the designated area. If you have not
registered yet, please take a moment to do so now. We will begin shortly.

To officially begin our program, we will first present the pillars of our institution, PUP, that guide our
principles and values.

(PUP Pillars are presented)

Let us all rise for Doxology.

(Music begins for the Doxology, and the audience stands)

Please remain standing as we now honor our country with the singing of the National Anthem."

(The National Anthem is played)

Thank you, everyone. Please take your seats. It is my honor to welcome you to today’s event. We are
thrilled to have you join us as we embark on this exciting learning journey. To officially start today’s
program, I would like to call on Engr. Jim F. Minalabag for his opening remarks

(Opening Remarks)

Thank you, Sir. Jim, for those inspiring opening remarks. Now, to get everyone comfortable and engaged,
we will start with a fun icebreaker activity.

(Icebreaker)

Thank you, everyone, for participating in the icebreaker. It’s now time to introduce our distinguished
speaker for today’s seminar. Engr. Shaun Patrick B. Calumba is a faculty member at National University -
Manila, specializing in Robotics and Automation Engineering. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science
in Electronics Engineering, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Automation. He earned his Bachelor of
Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Polytechnic University of the Philippines,
Taguig Campus.

Before joining academia, he worked as a Robotics and Automation Engineer at Armscor Global Defense,
Inc., and later served as Project Administrator - Operation Manager at First Multi-tech Industrial and
Development Corporation. His industry experience has strengthened his expertise in automation, project
management, and engineering solutions.

He recently presented his research at the International Conference on Control, Automation, and Robotics
in Singapore (April 2024). His paper, "Genetic Algorithm-Driven Optimization for Enhanced Accessibility in
Mobile Robotics," explored how genetic algorithms can improve accessibility in mobile robotic systems.

Passionate about AI, IoT, fuel consumption, and energy conservation, he is actively researching fuel
consumption identification in relation to terrain variations to optimize efficiency in real-world applications.
With a strong passion for technology and automation, he aspires to one day bring his ultimate vision to
life—creating his own Ironman suit. Once again Engr. Shaun Patrick B. Calumba!
