A tourist arrived in Kenya with 11,155 Euros. He converted all the Euros to Kenya shillings at the bank.

17. Income tax rates for the month of July 2023 were charged as follows:

In that month, Amillo earned as follows: basic salary – Ksh 36 540, house allowance Ksh 15 000,
medical allowance – Ksh 3 080 and a non-taxable leave allowance of Ksh 8 880. Amillo was also
entitled to a personal relief of Ksh 1 065 per month and also pays an insurance premium of Ksh 2 400
per month of which he has a relief of 3% of the premium paid per month.
Calculate
(a) Amillo’s taxable income per month in Kenya shillings. (2 marks)

(b) Amillo’s PAYE for the month of July 2023 (5 marks)

(c) Calculate the net pay that month (3 marks)
