repeated to help learning. The stories have a beginning, middle, and end, with more
characters and places. Pictures still help but are not as important. There are both storybooks
and fact books.
Yellow Band Cambridge Readers are for children who are starting to read more on their own.
The books have slightly longer sentences and use common words that children may already
know. Some new words are added and repeated to help learning. The stories are simple, with
a clear beginning, middle, and end. Pictures help explain the story and support understanding.
