The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) explains what influences a person's decision to accept
and use new technology. It is based on the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and focuses on two main
ideas: Perceived and Perceived Ease of Use. These two factors shape a person’s Intention to Use the
technology.
In this study, TAM is used to understand how farmers in Remedios T. Romualdez view and adopt the
solar-powered animal feed pelletizer.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Perceived Usefulness (PU) - The degree to which a person believes that using a particular technology
will enhance their performance or productivity.
Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) - The degree to which a person believes that using the technology will
be free from effort.
Intention of Use- The likelihood or readiness of an individual to use the technology.
