ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
I. INTRODUCTION
Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide program of the Department of Education that
brings together education stakeholders to prepare public school facilities for the
opening of classes. For the year 2025, Galalan Integrated National High School
participated in Brigada Eskwela with the theme “Sama-sama para sa Bayang
Bumabasa”. This year’s theme focuses on strengthening literacy and fostering a
reading culture among learners by enjoining the entire community to support reading
programs and literacy-focused activities.
The school implemented targeted interventions aimed at enhancing learners’
reading abilities, especially for struggling and beginning readers, in alignment with
the national commitment to improve basic education outcomes. The participation of
parents, teachers, students, and community members was crucial to the success of
this year's Brigada Eskwela.
II. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
Reading Intervention Sessions
Conducted individual and small-group reading sessions using short
stories and phonics-based materials.
Utilized multimedia and digital tools (e.g., TV, projector, laptops) to en-
gage learners more effectively.
A featured session involved guided reading of the story “Bud in the
Hut”, emphasizing phonemic awareness and vocabulary.
Library Enhancement
The school library received attention, with the addition of new books
organization of existing materials, and general cleaning. This aims to promote
a stronger reading culture among students.
Classroom Renovations and Clean-up: Significant improvements were
made to the classrooms, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs. This
created a more conducive learning environment for students.
Improved School Grounds: The school grounds were cleaned and land-
scaped, creating a safer and more aesthetically pleasing environment for stu-
dents.

Community Involvement: The active participation of parents, teachers, and
community members demonstrated a strong sense of unity and collaboration
towards improving the school.
III. WAYS FORWARD
Sustained Maintenance: Regular maintenance of the improved facilities is
crucial to ensure their longevity and continued benefit to the students.
Reading Program Implementation: A comprehensive reading program
should be implemented to encourage students to utilize the enhanced library
and reading materials
Ongoing Community Engagement: Continued involvement of the commu-
nity in school activities will help maintain the positive momentum and foster a
strong school-community partnership.
Resource Mobilization: Further efforts should be made to acquire additional
reading materials and resources to support the reading program.
