Introduction
Paul knows that the Christians of Corinth are not
only divided in their loyalties but are also influenced
by the Greek tendency to philosophize about
everything. But their salvation, their true wisdom
lies in Christ, who saved them by the cross.
The key point of the parable of the wise and the
foolish virgins in today’s gospel is not so much
vigilance as foresight, readiness for the kingdom,
and only then, consequently, vigilance.
PANALANGIN NG BAYAN
Agosto 29
Amen.
INDUCTION RITES OF PTA/ CHILD PROTECTION COMMITTE
Commentator: Please hold your lighted candle with your left hand and
recite your commitment as new PTA/CHILD PROTECTION
COMMITTE officers.
New Members:
I (state your name), dedicate and joyfully / give myself in the service of
the school, / convinced that I am answering the call of Christ and
trusting in the help of His grace, / I hereby commit myself / to give
support and loyalty to the school / for the betterment of the students /
by prayer / by work and example / and by living a truly Catholic life. /
May God and our Blessed Mother / help me to keep my pledge.
School Director:
“As new PTA and CHILD PROTECTION COMMITTEE for this school
year 2024 – 2025 be faithful to your solemn commitment to serve God
through San Lorenzo College of Davao. May Christ, our Supreme
Leader and our Blessed Mother enlighten, help and bless you in the
name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
All: Amen
Commentator: May we now clap our hands for the PTA / CHILD
PROTECTION COMMITTEE Officers.
Panimula:

Paul is aware that the Greek tendency to philosophize about everything not only divides
the Christians of Corinth in their loyalties but also influences them. We are saved by the
cross of Christ, but have we ever thought of spiritual preparedness in which we dispose
ourselves to meet God in prayer, the sacraments, and our everyday lives?
Today’s parable is a reminder of this kind of preparedness, and may we be ready to face
situations in which we see the Lord and He awaits us.
Together with our presider, Reverend Father Jerick B. Asdang, with joyful hearts, let
us sing our entrance hymn.
A blessed day to us! Hopefully, we are still awake and alive!
1. We have to stop our busy day because our time is very busy, just like ours! Before we are going to start
the most-awaited part, may I call on Brother _____________, who will introduce to us our speaker for
