Specimen : Received L2 smeart from USG suided FNA of Left thvroid nodules

Clinical historv: Left thyroid nodules ?thyroiditis ?multinodular goitre

Microscopy: Pap, H&E and MGG stained smears show moderate cellularity composed of cells
arranged in sheets and syncytial aggregates with anatomical porders and occasional papillary
fragments showing nuclear overlapping and overcrowding. The cells have enlarged nucleiwith pale
powdery chromatin, irregular nuclear membranes, frequent intranuclear cytoplasmic inclusions
and occasional grooving. Background shows stringy thin (chewing gum) colloid and RBC's.

lmpression Cytomorphological features are suspicious of Papillary thyroid carcinoma.
