Good morning everyone, I’m ____________, and this is ______________, and we will be the hosts for
today assembly, presented by Grade 10.
I would like to pop off the assembly with a simple question for all the students in this room. Observe this
image right here (pointing to the board). What do you all see? You may raise your hands to answer.
All of us in this room definitely share one thing in common: our home, that is Mother Earth. There is
another thing I’m sure all of us also share in common: the fact that we are destroying our planet day by
day.
To honor World Environment Day held just last week, is to bring to light just how bad the impact of our
daily actions can truly be. Before we dive deeper into the subject of the day, let’s kickstart the morning with
joining our hands and closing our eyes for the school prayer.
[School Prayer]
I would like to call upon Keerti to quote the thought of the day.
[Thought of the day]
I would like to give everyone an idea of what the purpose of dedicating a day for the environment truly is.
World Environment day is celebrated globally on June 5th annually. Started by the UN in 1972, it is followed
by rigorous campaigns to raise awareness on the devastating consequences of human activities, and
multiple fundings to take a stand.
This year, the spotlight has been shone on the motto, BeatPlasticPollution, concentrating on the disastrous
costs our desire for plastic usage demands. Plastic, after its discovery in the early 20th century, has been
used widely due to its resistance to corrosion and long-life – all positive factors on the surface, seemingly
the perfect antidote to lack of materials. However, it’s frequent disposal results in all kinds of toxic
substances released into the environment, damaging habitats and ecosystems, including our own!
This brings us to the chief purpose of today’s gathering; to spread awareness on just how brutal our
civilizations are to the environment, highlighting every minute sector affected, and hopefully encourage as
many of you as possible to take the stand for Earth that we know you can.
With that, we would like to hand the stage to our fellow classmates to enlighten you more on the theme.

Now that we've explored the facts, it's finally time to bring them to life. Coming up next is a powerful
courtroom drama prepared by our classmates, a not-so-subtle reminder of how our everyday choices affect
the planet. We hope it makes you think, reflect, and most importantly, act.
[Skit]
As we draw this assembly to a close, I would like to call upon ____________ to deliver the vote of thanks.
Before we conclude, I kindly request Dhanya ma’am to share a few words.
