In our laboratory, we developed a basic yet functional database simulation using
Microsoft Access. Our main goal was to create a system that could manage customer
information and order details in an organized and efficient manner. The system included two
primarytables—CustomerIDandOrderID—andutilizedformsandsubformstosimplifydata
input and viewing. By applying the core concepts we learned, we successfully connected
customer data to their respective orders, creating a simple relational database that reflects
real-world business transactions.
Throughout the development process, we encountered several challenges, particularly
with setting up relationships between tables and designing user-friendly forms. For instance,
ensuringthateachcustomercouldbeproperlylinkedtotheirorderrequiredcarefulattentionto

The simulation project was a rewarding experience that allowed us to put
classroom concepts into action. By building a working database from scratch, we
developed a much stronger appreciation for the behind-the-scenes structures that
support everyday business activities. We realizedthatevenasmallsystem—likethe
