1. Define the terms Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.


2. What is the basic principle behind vapour compression refrigeration systems?
3. Differentiate between window and split-type air conditioners.
4. List any four properties of an air-water mixture.
5. State any two advantages of the vapour absorption system over vapour
compression systems.

6. Explain with a neat sketch the layout of a domestic refrigerator and describe
its components.
