PREPAIRING THE FABRIC SHEET ON CANVA
This step is the same for both methods.
1. click on ‘CREATE A DESIGN’
2. CHOOSE YOUR PAPER SIZE FROM THE DROP DOWN MENU, OR CREATE A CUSTOM
SIZED SHEET BY:
CLICK ON ‘CUSTOM SIZE’ ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DROP DOWN MENU
CHANGE THE MEASUREMENT YOU’RE USING (I USED CM)
TYPE IN THE WIDTH AND HEIGHT OF YOUR PAPER.
ONCE YOU DONE ALL THESE STEPS, CLICK ON ‘CREATE NEW DESIGN’ FOR AN a4 SHEET STICKER PAPER,
CHOOSE: a4 PORTRAIT
3. YOUR SHEET WILL OPEN, SO CLICK ON ‘TEXT’
AND WRITE THE WORDS YOU WANT.
4. I chose a square shape from
the elements (on the left
sidebar) to guide me how
much gap i need between and then, delete all
words. (we need space for i filled an A5 sheet here square guides, your
the stitches.) I usually sheet is ready to
print.
choose 5 cm, and the text is
approx 3.7 cm. If you need
bigger label, adjust the size.
CLICK AND HOLD ANY OF THE
CORNERS, AND YOU CAN RESIZE IT CHOOSE ANY FONT you like, I USE SACRAMENTO
TO ANY SIZE YOU NEED (IN CM.) OR SPECIAL ELITE
THIS WILL BE THE EXACT SIZE OF
THE TEXT AFTER YOU PRINTED IT.
YOU CAN EVEN ADD GRAPHICS, BY CLICKING ON
‘ELEMENTS’ ON THE LEFT TASK BAR. (PUT THE
RELEVANT WORD IN THE SEARCH BAR.)
Method 1. (using iron-on sheet)
Once you finished the design, take a sheet of IRON ON magic paper ,
and the fabric, and cut them to the same size as your design.
I.e: If you placed your texts/names on an A5 size document on Canva,
cut it to an A5 size.
Iron on the magic sheet to the wrong side of the fabric, tidy up the
edges, and put it in the printer.
SELECT YOUR DESIGN, AND PRINT IT, MAKE SURE TO SET THE
CORRECT SIZE IN THE PRINTER DIALOGE. (If your design is A5 size,
select A5 paper in your printer settings.)
when finished printing, cut the label you use, peel off the backing, and iron it
on the project.
YOU CAN LEAVE IT AS IT IS, OR and sew it AROUND by hand, or machine.
THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES WITH THIS TECHNIQUE, TO MAKE UNIQUE,
PERSONALIZED GIFTS, I HOPE YOU WILL HAVE FUN, AND IF YOU HAVE ANY
FURTHER QUESTIONS, PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO CONTACT ME :-)

Method 2. (using sticker paper sheet)
Once you finished the design, take a sheet of sticker paper, iron on
stabilizer, and the fabric, and cut them to the same size as your
design.
I.e: If you placed your texts/names on an A5 size document on Canva,
cut it to an A5 size.
Iron on the stabilizer to the wrong side of the fabric, stick it on to the
stickerpaper, tidy up the edges, and put it in the printer.
SELECT YOUR DESIGN, AND PRINT IT, MAKE SURE TO SET THE
CORRECT SIZE IN THE PRINTER DIALOGE. (If your design is A5 size,
select A5 paper in your printer settings.)
when finished printing, peel the sticker paper off, cut off the label you need,
and sew it AROUND by hand, or machine.
YOU DON’T NECCESSARY NEED IRON ON STABILIZER, CAN USE
THE STICKER PAPER ONLY. IN THIS CASE, I RECOMMEND TO KEEP
THE STICKER PAPER ON, OTHERWISE THE FABRIC CAN START
FRAYING WHILST YOU PEELING OFF THE STICKER SHEET.
IT WORKS PERFECTLY WELL, WITHOUT STABILIZER TOO.
