CROCHET PATTERN

Skill level: Advanced Beginners Weekend Project


Materials and Tools:
Yarn 160 m/ 50 g For the donkey colors: brown and light brown
(Suggesiton: Yarn Art Jeans)
Yarn 165 m/ 50 g For the nose color: beige (Suggestion: Alize
Cotton Gold Hobby)
Safety eyes: 12 mm, for the nose 10 mm
Crochet hook: 1.75 mm Clover “Amour”
Tapestry neddle
Polyester fiberfill
Scissors

Abbreviations: 6 inches tall :)

MR – magic ring
Ch – chain stitch
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Dec – decrease
Sl st - slip stitch
X – denotes how many times to repeat the action in parentheses – ()

Notes:
This pattern uses US crochet terminology.
Every round should be continuous (NO Slip Stitch).
You can place safety eyes or embroider them with black yarn.
The circles next to the instructions are a checklist that will make it
easier to follow the pattern

Start with dark brown.
Make 2 legs up to Rnd 7, and join them on Rnd 8

With the end of the light brown yarn, sew the joining place of the
legs.

Assembling:
Attach the head to the body and sew the pieces together.

Sew the hands near the seam between the body pieces.

Place the muzzle between round 13 and the seam between the
body and the head. It should be next to the eyes, with the upper
part of the muzzle in the middle of eyes.
Place the safety eyes of 10 mm for the nostrils, on round 3 of the
muzzle.
Place polyester fiberfill before you finish sewing it.
Sew the ears at the sides of the head from 5 rounds of the magic
ring.

To make the mane, cut brown yarn into pieces about 10 cm long.
Use pins to mark where to attach the mane, between the rounds
5-7.
With a crochet hook, pull three strands of yarn through a stitch
on the head. Pull the rest of the yarn through the loop and
tighten the knot.
Repeat the process as many times as necessary to keep your
head covered. Place the strands forward.
Your Little Donkey is Ready!
