In the bank
One morning, Luna went to the bank with her mother when she saw her classmate, Dexter.
Luna: Oh, hi Dexter. What are you doing here?
Dexter: Hi Luna, I want to learn how to answer deposit slips because I struggle answering
forms like that. Withdrawal slip, by the way is a form we fill up to withdraw money in the bank.
Luna: Me too, I want to know more of the withdrawal slip because it may help me in the future.
Dexter: Yes, Deposit slip on the other hand is also a form that includes the information of
which and whose account will the money be deposited. It also includes the amount you will
deposit.
Luna: I have here an example of those slips, let’s check together.
Guide Questions:
1. Who are the people talking in the dialogue?
2. Why did they join the mother at the bank?
3. What is a deposit slip used for? How about a withdrawal slip?
4. Why do you think forms like these should be correctly filled?
5. Being a grade 5 pupil, what do you think is the importance of correctly filling up
these kinds of forms?
