CONCLUSION:

1. Labor Advisory No. 20-2023 dated 15 September 2023 requires all private
enterprises to implement the policy mandated under the Republic Act 11215 or
the National Integrated Cancer Control Act.
2. The DOLE expects firms to promote a safe and healthy lifestyle including
employees' mental and social well-being.
3. Businesses must assist in prompt referral mechanisms for screening, diagnosis,
and treatment as well as access to social services.
4. Firms are urged to put in place referral systems and procedures to help cancer
patients return to work and reintegrate into the workforce.
5. Companies are also required to help employees gain access to rehabilitation and
compensation in the private sector through the Employees' Compensation
Commission (ECC).
6. The Data Privacy Act shall be followed in handling any medical records of
concerned personnel.
