City Montessori School
Gomti Nagar Campus I
Class – I (2025 – 26)
Dear Students,
The long-awaited summer vacation is here, bringing with it the gift of enjoyment
that is spent in exploring books, storytelling and playing games. We have planned
some activities for you to keep your energies well-directed and engaged positively.
Holiday homework has been designed with the following objectives:
1- To keep you connected with the syllabus.
2- To enhance your creativity and engage you constructively.
3- To bring out essential potential in you.
Dear Parents,
Over the past 2 months, your children have thrived under the care of their teachers,
eagerly anticipating each day at school. As they transition back to spending the
next two months with you as their primary caregiver we offer some helpful tips to
ensure this time is enriching and joyous for them.
● Eat meals with your children at least twice a day. Tell them about the
importance of farmers and their hard work. And tell them not to waste their
food.
● Let them wash their own plates after eating. Through such work children will
understand the value of hard work.
● Let them help you cook with you. Let them prepare vegetables or salad.
● Go to three neighbours' houses. Learn more about them and grow closer.
● Go to grandparents' house and let them mingle with the children. Their love
and emotional support is very important for your children. Take pictures with
them.
● Take them to your workplace so that they can understand how hard you work
for the family.
● Don't miss any local festival or local market.
● Motivate your children to sow seeds to create a kitchen garden. Knowing
about trees and plants is also important for the development of your child.
● Tell children about your childhood and your family history.
● Let your children go out and play, let them get hurt, let them get dirty. It is
good for them to fall occasionally and endure pain. A life of comfort like
sofa cushions will make your children lazy.
● Let them keep any pet like dog, cat, bird or fish.
● Play them some folk songs.
● Bring some story books with colourful pictures for your children.
● Keep your children away from TV, mobile phones, computers and electronic
gadgets.
● Avoid giving them chocolates, jellies, cream cakes, chips, aerated drinks and
bakery products like puffs and fried foods like samosas.
● Look into the eyes of your children and thank God for giving you such a
wonderful gift. In the coming few years from now, they will be at new
heights.

Now, find the next smallest toy and put it next to the first one. Keep doing
this until you have lined up all your toys from the smallest to the biggest.
Bravo! You have arranged your toys in ascending order.
(b) Then do it the other way! find the biggest toy? Put it first in a new line.
Find the next biggest and put it next. Keep going until you have all your
toys lined up from biggest to smallest. This time, it is in descending order.
Click a picture of it and then take a print out and paste it on a punch sheet
giving a heading as ascending and descending order.
