Bioinformatics Course Introduction

The Bioinformatics course for 2024-2, taught by Dam Thuy Hang, focuses on using bioinformatic tools to analyze genes and protein sequences without requiring programming skills. Classes are held bi-weekly on Wednesdays, with labs scheduled in specific weeks for hands-on experience in various topics such as sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis. Essential textbooks include 'Essential Bioinformatics' by Jin Xiong and 'Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics' by Jonathan Pevsner.
