IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION/ JUSTIFICATION:

Barangay General Assembly is mandated by the Local Government Code


of the Philippines as stated in Section 397 (b) of Republic Act No. 7160 where it
says that every Barangay shall conduct at least twice a year. That event aims
to promote transparency in governance.

That program consists of line-up reports and activities, the plans and
accomplishments of the Barangay for the preceding and succeeding year. This
is where the residents of the different Sitios of the Barangay attend to be
updated with the situation of their community. Speakers are invited from
different line agencies to bring their services through information and
education campaign near to the community.
