API Gravity Conversion Guide

This document provides tables and instructions for converting between API gravity, specific gravity, gallons, and pounds for petroleum products using temperature correction factors. Steps: 1. Enter API gravity as measured from an "API Gravity Hydrometer" 2. Enter measured value above 3. Enter gallons to be converted to lbs or 4. Enter total Lbs to be converted to gallons

If the product is at temperature other than 60 degress F the volume (gallons) or weight (lbs) must be adjusted back to 60 degre gasoline or diesel are included on "Correction Factors" worksheet.
