Abbreviations
Ch - chain
St - stitch
Sts - stitches
Sk - skip
Sl st - slip stitch
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet

Special Stitch
Cluster - Yarn over, insert hook into the
space, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn
over and pull through two loops (two
loops on hook), yarn over and insert hook
into the same space, yarn over and pull
up a loop, yarn over and pull through two
loops (three loops on hook), yarn over
and insert hook into the same space, yarn
over and pull up a loop, yarn over and
pull through two loops (four loops on
hook), yarn over and pull through all
loops on the hook
Instructions

Ch 38

Row 1: Cluster in the 5th ch from the hook, sk 2 sts, *dc in the next st, ch 1, cluster in same st as
dc, sk 2*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 2-7: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as turning ch, *sk next cluster and skip the ch 1, dc in next
dc, ch 1, cluster in same space as dc*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the top of the
beginning ch 4. Turn.

Row 8: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch sp across. (33 sc) Turn.


Row 9: Ch 4, tr in each st across. (33 tr) Turn.
Row 10: Ch 1, sc in each st across. (33 sc) Turn.

Row 11: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as the turning ch, sk 2 sts, *dc in the next st, ch 1, cluster in
same st as dc, sk 2*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 12-17: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as turning ch, *sk next cluster and skip the ch 1, dc in next
dc, ch 1, cluster in same space as dc*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the top of the
beginning ch 4. Turn.

Row 18-20: Repeat Row 8-10

Row 21: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as the turning ch, sk 2 sts, *dc in the next st, ch 1, cluster in
same st as dc, sk 2*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 22-27: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as turning ch, *sk next cluster and skip the ch 1, dc in
next dc, ch 1, cluster in same space as dc*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the top of
the beginning ch 4. Turn.

Row 28-30: Repeat Row 8-10

Row 31: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as the turning ch, sk 2 sts, *dc in the next st, ch 1, cluster in
same st as dc, sk 2*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 32-37: Ch 4, cluster in the same sp as turning ch, *sk next cluster and skip the ch 1, dc in
next dc, ch 1, cluster in same space as dc*, repeat from * to * across to the end. Dc in the top of
the beginning ch 4. Turn.

Now do a row of single crochet evenly around the entire piece.

To add fringe, cut three strands of yarn 4.5” long and insert through desired space on the ends of the
piece.
