Phu Dorjee (also spelled Phu Dorji) was a Sherpa and the first Indian to
summit Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. He did so on May
5, 1984 on a solo ascent from the South East Ridge. Dorjee died in 1987
on the Kanchanjunga Expedition of the Assam Rifles.
Mt. Everest
Mt. Everest, the highest mountain above sea-level on Earth is located on
the China-Nepal border in the Himalayan mountain range. It is named
after Sir George Everest, Surveyor General of India. It is known as
Chomolungma in Tibet and Sagarmatha in Nepal. The height of Mt.
Everest was recently established to be 8,848.86 m (29,031 ft 8+1Ú2 in).

The Satellite Launch Vehicle or SLV was a small-lift launch vehicle project started in the early
1970s by the Indian Space Research Organisation to develop the technology needed to launch
satellites. SLV was intended to reach a height of 400 kilometres (250 mi) and carry a payload
of 40 kg (88 lb).The first experimental flight of SLV-3, in 10 August 1979 in Sriharikota,was a
failure.The first successful launch took place on 18 July 1980 and final launch of the SLV took
place on 17 April 1983.

* Women's cricket is the form of the team sport of cricket that is played
by women. The first recorded match was in England on 26 July 1745.
* Women's cricket has been played internationally since the inaugural women's
Test match between England women and Australia women in December 1934.
The following year, New Zealand women joined them. in 2007 Netherlands
women became the tenth women's Test nation when they made their debut
against South Africa women.
* Women's One Day Internationals (ODIs) were introduced in 1973 at the
inaugural Women's Cricket World Cup. The 1,000th women's ODI took place in
2016.
In 2004, a shorter format still was introduced, with the introduction of women's

The 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup was the twelfth edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup,
which was held in New Zealand in March and April 2022. It was originally scheduled for 6 February to 7

Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, the country's first Rafale pilot, was a
part of the Indian Air Force (IAF) tableau that featured in the 73rd
Republic Day parade in 2022. She joined the IAF's fighter stream in
2017 and flew the MiG-21 Bison aircraft before being posted to a Rafale
squadron based in Ambala.
She is only the second woman fighter jet pilot to be part of the IAF
tableau.
Last year 2021, Flight Lieutenant Bhawna Kanth became the first female
fighter jet pilot to be part of the IAF tableau.

Flight Lieutenant Avani Chaturvedi (born 27 October 1993) is an Indian
pilot from Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. She was declared as the first
woman combat pilot along with two of her cohorts, Mohana Singh
Jitarwal (Jhunjhunu,Rajasthan), and Bhawana Kanth (Darbhanga,
Bihar). The trio was inducted into the Indian Air Force fighter squadron
in June 2016. They were formally commissioned by then Defence
Minister Manohar Parrikar on 18th June 2016, to serve the nation.
