MATHS (06 May) - 250506 - 074936

The document discusses the verification of an equivalence relation R defined on a set L of lines in a plane, where lines can be parallel, perpendicular, or neither. It outlines a procedure for drawing nine lines on colored paper and observing their relationships, concluding that R is reflexive, symmetric, and transitive. Therefore, R is confirmed as an equivalence relation on the set L.

RESULT

Since R is reflexive, symmetric and transitive, it is an equivalence relation on the set L.
