Part 1: Email Communication (Gmail)
1. Create a Gmail account (if you don’t already have one).
2. Compose a professional email to [Link]@[Link] , using the following
structure:
○ Subject: Mini Project Kick-off – Digital Skills
○ Greeting
○ Brief introduction of yourself
○ Purpose of the email (e.g., sharing document, asking for feedback)
○ Include a link to your shared Google Doc (from Part 2)
○ Proper closing and signature
3. Take a screenshot of the sent email
Part 2: Document Collaboration (Google Docs)
1. Create a Google Doc titled: Digital Skills in the Job Market – [Your Name]
2. Write at least 2 full paragraphs on:
○ What digital skills are
○ Why they are important today (especially in Nigeria/Africa)
3. Format the document:
○ Use headings and subheadings
○ Bold key terms
○ Use bullet points where necessary
4. Share the Doc with your [Link]@[Link] , giving them Commenter
access.
Part 3: Video Meeting Practice (Google Meet)
1. Schedule a short Google Meet with anyone.
2. During the call, demonstrate:
○ Mute/unmute
○ Turning camera on/off
○ Screen sharing your document
3. Take a screenshot during the call
Part 4: Cloud Storage & Sharing (Google Drive)
1. Create a new folder in Google Drive titled: Digital Project – [Your Name]
2. Move the following into this folder:
○ Your Google Doc
○ Your Google Sheet
○ A screenshot of your Gmail email
○ Subfolder containing the screenshots of the google meet
3. Share the folder with your [Link]@[Link] , giving Viewer access.
