Unit 1 How to download Office 365 for Mac

Speaker 1:

Downloading and installing Office 365. Download instructions for Mac. Post University
provides its students with free Office 365 at no cost. You can access the software right
from your homepage. This video will help you download and install MS Office 365 on
your Mac computer.

To begin, go to [Link] and select the login button in the top right corner. From the
dropdown menu, select student portal homepage. You will be redirected to a sign in
page. Enter your student email address and password when prompted then click next.
Once you are on your homepage, select the Office 365 option.

The following screen will load with the list of your Office 365 applications. Select the
option install Office, the orange box located in the top right of the screen to install Office.
Select Office 365 apps from the dropdown menu. After selecting the Office link, the
following screen will appear prompting you to install the software.

Once the download is completed, open Finder to go to downloads and select


Microsoft_office_2016_installer.pkg, the name may vary slightly. On the first installation
screen, select continue to begin the installation process. Review the software license
agreement and then select continue. Select agree to agree to the terms of the software
license agreement.

Choose how you want to install Office and select continue. Review the disc space
requirements or change your installation location, and then select install. Enter your
Mac username and password if prompted and then select install software. This is the
password that you use to log into your Mac.

The software will begin to install. Select close when the installation is completed. The
software will launch automatically after you install it. Select the launchpad icon in the
doc to display all of your apps. Select the Microsoft Word icon in the launch pad. This
completes this step-by-step guide to downloading and installing Office 365.
