Preparing the Games
These games can be played using clothespins to clip the board or
using counters.

Playing the Games with Clothespins

To play the games using clothespins, the game boards need to be
printed on card. After printing the board cut around the edge of the
board and it is ready for play.

If you prefer a more durable game board,

it can be laminated after being printed on
paper or card and cut out.

Playing the Games with Counters

To play the game with counters, the game can be printed on card or for
a more durable game board, print on card or paper and then laminate.
It is not necessary to cut around the edge of the game board if you are
using counters to play the games.

Alternatively, the games can be printed on cardstock or paper and put

in a sleeve protector.

Using the Games
Math Centers – These games are ideal for a math center activity. Have the
children read the instructions themselves if possible as this is a great
reading comprehension activity.

Display on Smart Board – The games can be projected onto your smart
board and the class can be broken into 2 teams to play. This is an ideal way
to introduce the games to the students.

Homework – The games are also suitable for homework. They are a fun
alternative to regular homework and parents can be involved in playing the
game with their children. This is really popular with the kids and the
parents.

Fast Finishers – The games are a perfect activity for those children who
finish their work early.

Students as Teachers - A worthwhile activity is to have children learn how

to play a game and then teach it to others. Teaching others how to play is a
great communication activity.

Buddy Class Activity - The games are idea as a ‘buddy class’ activity. You
can have the younger students teacher their older buddies how to play.
