The Homily
The Creed (p. …)
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died
and was buried; he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the
right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the
dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic
Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
The Prayer of the Faithful
After each intention: Lord, in your mercy.
All reply: Hear our prayer.

The Liturgy of the Eucharist
The Offertory (p. …)
P.: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
for through your goodness we have received
the bread and the wine we offer you: fruit of the
earth and work of human hands, it will become
for us the bread of life and our spiritual drink.
Blessed be God for ever.
P.: Pray, brothers and sisters,
that my sacrifice and yours
may be acceptable to God,
the almighty Father.
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for
the praise and glory of his name, for our good and
the good of all his holy Church.
The Prayer over the Offerings
………………
Amen.

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER II (p. …)
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
V. Lift up your hearts.
R. We lift them up to the Lord.
V. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
R. It is right and just.
It is truly right and just, our duty and our
salvation, always and everywhere to give you
thanks, Father most holy, through your
beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your Word through
whom you made all things, whom you sent as
our Saviour and Redeemer, incarnate by the
Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy
people, he stretched out his hands as he
endured his Passion, so as to break the bonds
of death and manifest the resurrection.
And so, with the Angels and all the Saints we
declare your glory, as with one voice we
acclaim:
8
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and
earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
You are indeed Holy, O Lord, (p. …)
the fount of all holiness.
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
by sending down your Spirit upon them like the
dewfall,
so that they may become for us + the Body and
Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
At the time he was betrayed
and entered willingly into his Passion,
he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying:
Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
for this is my body,
which will be given up for you.
In a similar way, when supper was ended,
he took the chalice
and, once more giving thanks,
he gave it to his disciples, saying:
9
Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
for this is the chalice of my blood, the
blood of the new and eternal covenant,
which will be poured out for you and for
many for the forgiveness of sins.
Do this in memory of me.
P.: The mystery of faith. (p. …)
We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your
Resurrection until you come again.
Or: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we
proclaim your Death, O Lord, until you come again.
Or: Save us, Saviour of the world, for by your
Cross and Resurrection you have set us free.
(p. …) Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
of his Death and Resurrection, we offer you,
Lord, the Bread of life and the Chalice of
salvation, giving thanks that you have held us
worthy to be in your presence and minister to
you. Humbly we pray that, partaking of the
Body and Blood of Christ, we may be gathered
into one by the Holy Spirit.
10
Remember, Lord, your Church, spread
throughout the world, and bring her to the
fullness of charity, together with N. our Pope
and N. our Bishop* and all the clergy.
(In Masses for the Dead, the following may be
added): Remember your servant N., whom you
have called (today) from this world to yourself.
Grant that he (she) who was united with your
Son in a death like his, may also be one with
him in his Resurrection.
Remember also our brothers and sisters who
have fallen asleep in the hope of the
resurrection, and all who have died in your
mercy: welcome them into the light of your
face.
Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with Saint
Joseph her husband, with the blessed
Apostles, with Saint …….. and all the Saints
who have pleased you throughout the ages, we
may merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may
praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus
Christ.
11
Through him, and with him, and in him,
O God, almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all glory and honor is yours,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER III
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
V. Lift up your hearts.
R. We lift them up to the Lord.
V. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
R. It is right and just.
It is truly right and just, our duty and our
salvation, always and everywhere to give you
thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal
God, through Christ our Lord.
In him you have been pleased to renew all
things, giving us all a share in his fullness.
12
For though he was in the form of God, he
emptied himself and by the blood of his Cross
brought peace to all creation.
Therefore he has been exalted above all things,
and to all who obey him, has become the
source of eternal salvation.
And so, with Angels and Archangels, with
Thrones and Dominions, and with all the hosts
and Powers of heaven, we sing the hymn of
your glory, as without end we acclaim:
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
(p. …) You are indeed Holy, O Lord, and all you
have created rightly gives you praise, for
through your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, by the
power and working of the Holy Spirit, you give
life to all things and make them holy, and you
never cease to gather a people to yourself, so
that from the rising of the sun to its setting a
pure sacrifice may be offered to your name.
13
(hands extended over the offerings): Therefore,
O Lord, we humbly implore you: by the same
Spirit graciously make holy these gifts we have
brought to you for consecration, + that they
may become the Body and Blood of your Son
our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command we
celebrate these mysteries.
For on the night he was betrayed, he himself
took bread, and, giving you thanks, he said the
blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his
disciples, saying:
Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
for this is my body,
which will be given up for you
P.: In a similar way, when supper was ended,
he took the chalice, and, giving you thanks,
he said the blessing, and gave the chalice to
his disciples, saying:
Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
for this is the chalice of my blood, the
blood of the new and eternal covenant,
which will be poured out for you and for
14
many for the forgiveness of sins.
do this in memory of me.
The mystery of faith. (p.
P.: Therefore, O Lord, as we celebrate the
memorial of the saving Passion of your Son,
his wondrous Resurrection and Ascension into
heaven, and as we look forward to his second
coming, we offer you in thanksgiving this holy
and living sacrifice.
Look, we pray, upon the oblation of your
Church and, recognizing the sacrificial Victim
by whose death you willed to reconcile us to
yourself, grant that we, who are nourished by
the Body and Blood of your Son and filled with
his Holy Spirit, may become one body, one
spirit in Christ.
15
May he make of us an eternal offering to you,
so that we may obtain an inheritance with your
elect, especially with the most Blessed Virgin
Mary, Mother of God, with Saint Joseph her
husband, with your blessed Apostles and
glorious Martyrs (with Saint ….) and with all the
Saints, on whose constant intercession in your
presence we rely for unfailing help.
May this Sacrifice of our reconciliation,
we pray, O Lord, advance the peace and
salvation of all the world.
Be pleased to confirm in faith and charity your
pilgrim Church on earth,
with your servant N. our Pope
and N. our Bishop,* the Order of Bishops,
all the clergy, and the entire people you have
gained for your own. Listen graciously to the
prayers of this family, whom you have
summoned before you: in your compassion,
O merciful Father, gather to yourself all your
children scattered throughout the world.
† To our departed brothers and sisters and to
all who were pleasing to you at their passing
from this life, give kind admittance to your
16
kingdom. There we hope to enjoy for ever the
fullness of your glory
through Christ our Lord, through whom you
bestow on the world all that is good. †
Through him, and with him, and in him,
O God, almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy
Spirit, all glory and honor is yours,
for ever and ever. Amen.
The Communion Rite
The Lord’s Prayer (p. …)
P.: At the Saviour’s command
and formed by divine teaching,
we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy
name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on
earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us
our trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us; and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.
17
P.: Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil,
graciously grant peace in our days,
that, by the help of your mercy,
we may be always free from sin
and safe from all distress,
as we await the blessed hope
and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are
yours now and for ever.
P.: Lord Jesus Christ,
who said to your Apostles:
Peace I leave you, my peace I give you,
look not on our sins,
but on the faith of your Church,
and graciously grant her peace and unity
in accordance with your will.
Who live and reign for ever and ever.
Amen.
P.: The peace of the Lord be with you always.
And with your spirit.
P.: Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
18
