INTRODUCTION
1.1 Introduction
As part of my MBA in HR, I did my 52 days internship program conducted from 27 th May 2024 to
17th July 2024 at the Ray-hans Precision Tools Private Limited which is located in Special Economic
Zone at Cochin, India. The internship had provided a real time experience for HR department. It
effects to gain me more knowledge about Hr department and working of an organization.
Ray-hans Precision Tools Pvt ltd having around 250 employees. They use world class equipments
and machineries imported from leading manufactures in Germany, Japan, Swiss and USA. Ray-hans
provides end to end solutions for tool and mould industry starting from design to component
production. They are capable of supplying precision tooling of International standards to Electronics,
Automotive, Electrical and IT sectors. Thier customer base includes TE connectivity, DELPHI
Connection Systems, NPOL and Yazaki.
They are specialized in Designing of Injection Moulds , Manufacturing of Injection Moulds, Press
tools and Fixtures, Manufacturing of Precision Machined Spares ,Production of Moulded
Components. A world class tooling solution Provider requires continuous improvement of products
and process. They adopt LEAN principle for making improvements in our systems and process. They
also ensure that the improvements achieved over products and processes are transferred to our
customers so that they are benefited in terms of cost and time. For ensuring this, they carry out
periodic trainings for our employees to develop skill and competency.
Embarking on an internship at Ray-Hans Precision Tools Pvt. Ltd. has been a transformative journey,
one that has meticulously prepared me for a promising career in Human Resources. This immersive
experience has endowed me with a diverse and robust portfolio of skills and accomplishments, each
adding a unique dimension to my professional arsenal. Throughout my tenure, I have gained a clearer
and more nuanced understanding of my career trajectory, allowing me to chart a path forward with
greater precision and confidence. The responsibilities I have shouldered and the challenges I have
navigated have fortified my ability to take on HR roles with enhanced responsibility and efficacy.

Ray-Hans Precision Tools Private Limited specializes in manufacturing molds specified by the
customers. Here are some of the products and services provided by Ray-hans Precision Tools:
1. Mould design
Fundamental activity of mould making starts with design. Ray-hans engineer’s subject knowledge
along with systematic approach in performing each task ensures best quality and shorter lead time.
A team of Tool makers and process engineers review each design to ensure Manufacturing easiness.
Ray-Hans Precision Tools’ design center uses Creo 2 (ProE) software for designing activities and
supported by mold flow analyzing software. Ray-hans expertise in hot and cold runner systems
allows serving customer seeking high as well as low volume productions. Hardened core and cavity
plates and inserts are used for moulds with higher volume components which ensure millions of
shots without major overhauling.
Their manufacturing facility comprises of Conventional Milling, CNC Milling, Surface Grinding,
Profile Grinding, Jig Grinding, Die Sinking and Wire EDM. They perform material treatment
process like hardening, tempering and stress relieving along with sophisticated process like sub-
zero treatment.
To meet tooling challenges, they are using latest CAD/CAM programming softwares such as
DelCAM, Esprit and PEPS. For Production Planning they use “Preactor APS
400” from Siemens.

CONCLUSION
My internship at Ray-Hans Precision Tools Pvt. Ltd. was a highly enriching experience that bridged
the gap between academic theories and real-world HR practices. By delving into various HR functions
and engaging with different departments, I gained practical insights into managing employee

performance, improving engagement strategies, and ensuring organizational alignment.
This experience not only enhanced my professional capabilities but also provided a platform to
understand the nuances of a precision-driven organization. Ray-Hans’ focus on continuous
