1. Examine the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum. Identify the different learning areas, subjects,
and courses included in the curriculum.

The K-12 Basic education curriculum, implemented in the Philippines, consists of several
learning areas, subjects, and courses. The curriculum is divided into three levels: the elementary
level (Kindergarten to Grade 6), junior high school level (Grades 7 to 10), and senior high school
level (Grades 11 to 12). Below is an overview of the different learning areas, subjects, and
courses included in each level:

Elementary Level:
1. Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) - focuses on the development of
oral language and literacy skills in the learner's mother tongue.
2. Filipino - emphasizes the development of oral and written communication skills in the
national language.
3. English - focuses on the development of proficiency in oral and written communication skills
in English.

To enhance the Buhi, Camarines Sur curriculum, include industry-relevant skills like critical thinking,
communication, problem-solving, and collaboration, along with habits of mind such as persistence,
flexibility, and open-mindedness, promoting adaptable and resourceful individuals.

Critical Thinking: The ability to analyze information objectively, identify biases, and make sound
judgments.
Communication: Effectively conveying information, both verbally and nonverbally, to diverse audiences.
Problem-Solving: Identifying and analyzing issues, developing creative solutions, and implementing
them effectively.
Collaboration: Working effectively with others to achieve shared goals, valuing diverse perspectives.
Adaptability: Being able to adjust to changing situations and environments.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software, tools, and digital platforms.
Financial Literacy: Understanding personal finances, budgeting, and investing.

The Baao Community College has a well-defined vision, mission, goals, and objectives that reflect its
commitment to providing quality education that empowers students to create positive changes in their
community. The vision of the college to produce 21st century value-laden skilled graduates is an
ambitious one, but it shows that the college is committed to producing graduates who are not only
knowledgeable and skilled but also have strong values that will help them make a difference in the
world.

The mission of the college is comprehensive and covers all the key aspects of education, from ensuring a
friendly and gender-sensitive atmosphere for students, to providing adequate resources for learning, to
delivering quality instruction and fostering productive partnerships for community development.

The goals of the college align with its mission and reflect the college's commitment to empowering
students and improving their learning experience. The focus on developing students' critical thinking,
problem-solving skills and 21st-century values, as well as preparing them for higher education and
careers, is commendable.

3. How are your school's mission, vision, and core values reflected in your lessons and school
activities?

My school's mission to foster holistic student development, its vision of becoming a leading educational
institution in Baao, and its core values of integrity, innovation, and community engagement, are woven
into our lessons and school activities, guiding curriculum development and extracurricular events.

4. How relevant are your school's vision, mission, and core values to the needs of the learners
and the demands of the society?

A school's Vision and Mission shape its identity by clearly defining its main values, goals, and aspirations.
They create a suitable purpose and direction, influencing the culture, educational practices, and
community relationships. This helps create a specific identity that directs all school activities and
decisions.
