Mangalyaann, Idia's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) popularly known as mangalyaan,is one of the most remarkable achivements in the

field of
space exploration. Launched by the India space research organisation (ISRO) on november 5, 2013, it marked india's first interplanetary mission
annd made the country the fourth country to reach mars, following the soviet union, the united states, the european sapce agency.

he primary objective of mangalyaan was to demonstrate india's capability to design, launch and operate an interplanetary mission. It also aimed
to study mar'surface, morphology, atmosphere and mineralogy using onboard scientific instruments.

The mission was developed in record time and with a budget of approximately $74 million (INR 450 crore), making it one of the most cost-
effective Mars missions ever undertaken. The spacecraft was launched aboard a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV_C25) from the Satish
Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India.

On September 24, 2014, Mangalyaan successfully entered Mars' orbit, making India the first country to achieve this feat on its first attempt. The
mission received worldwide acclaim for its efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and success in a challenging endeavor.

Mangalyaan’s success was a landmark moment for India’s space program, significantly boosting ISRO’s reputation and inspiring future space
exploration endeavors.

Mangalyaan stands as a testament to India's scientific ingenuity and ambition in space exploration. It not only expanded our understanding of
Mars but also inspired a new generation of scientists and engineers.
