ADMINISTRATIVE CASE
An administrative case is a formal legal proceeding initiated within a government agency or
public institution to determine whether a public official or employee has committed
misconduct or violated internal rules, policies, or laws, which may result in disciplinary
sanctions.
KEY ELEMENTS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CASE
1. Heading / Title
 The top portion of the document, identifying the jurisdiction and the parties
involved.
 Indicates that the case is filed under the Republic of the Philippines, through the
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the BJMP.
2. Formal Charge Title
 The formal declaration that a charge is being made.
 This heading tells the reader that the document is an official filing of a charge for
an administrative offense.
3. Statement of the Charge
 A narrative description of the alleged violation.
 States that the respondent is charged with Violation of Reasonable Office Rules
and Regulation.
4. Acts Contrary to Rules
 A general statement confirming rule violation.
 Reinforces that the respondent’s conduct went against established BJMP rules and
regulations, forming the core reason for disciplinary action.
5. Filing and Approval Block
 Details of who filed and approved the charge, with date and place.
 Confirms the charge is officially sanctioned and not a mere complaint.
6. Certificate of Non-Forum Shopping
 A sworn statement that no other similar case is pending elsewhere.
 Ensures the respondent is not being charged for the same offense before another
administrative or judicial body.
 Prevents double jeopardy in administrative settings.
