Project Description: From Hypothesis to Impact: A JPIA Research Forum" is an online
academic discussion platform designed to highlight the research endeavors of the 4th-year
BS Accountancy students of Bataan Peninsula State University.
Implementing Organization: Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants
A. RATIONALE
Research is a fundamental pillar of academic and professional growth. Through this
research forum, JPIA aims to provide a space for graduating students to showcase the
knowledge they have gained through rigorous study, while allowing underclassmen to learn
from their experiences. The event will bridge academic gaps, offer practical research
advice, and emphasize the relevance of research in the accounting profession. By providing
this platform, the organization reaffirms its commitment to promoting academic excellence,
research culture, and peer-driven learning.
B. OBJECTIVES
The primary objectives of this project are:
1) To provide a platform for 4th-year students to present and discuss their junior year
research projects.
2) To promote a culture of knowledge-sharing and academic excellence within JPIA.
3) To inspire younger batches to engage more deeply with research processes.
C. BASIS OF THE PROPOSAL
This project is rooted in the need to strengthen the research culture among
accounting students and promote continuous learning beyond the classroom. It aligns with
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by ensuring inclusive and
equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. It also
supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering collaboration and shared
learning among students across year levels.
D. EXPECTED OUTCOME
The expected outcomes of the project include an increased awareness and
appreciation for the importance of research in the accounting profession, improved
understanding of research processes among younger students, enhanced confidence and
presentation skills among the 4th-year presenters, and a stronger sense of community and
academic camaraderie within the JPIA organization.
E. POSSIBLE RISKS/PROBLEMS
The possible problems that may arise during this project are:
