Jesus and His disciples are in a quiet place, preparing for a journey up the mountain.
The group consists of Jesus, Peter, James, and John. The atmosphere is calm but
expectant.]
Jesus: (Calling His closest disciples) "Pedro, Santiago, Juan—uban kamo kanako.
Aduna kita’y importanteng tahas sa ibabaw sa bukid. Kinahanglan kita magsaka
ngadto."
Pedro: (Curious but ready) "Ginoo, unsa’y ato nga buhaton sa bukid? Murag lahi
man ni nga lakaw."
James: (To Peter) "Tingali aduna siyay ipadayag kanato. Kanunay man kita niyang
gitudloan sa mga lugar nga hilom."
Juan: (Quiet but thoughtful) "Mao bitaw, Santiago. Ug matag higayon nga uban kita
sa Ginoo, naa gyud kanunay ang dakong kahibulungan."
[The disciples follow Jesus as they begin their ascent up the mountain. The path is
steep, but they walk with determination. The air grows cooler as they climb higher.]
Pedro: (Panting slightly) "Ginoo, taas-taas gyud ni nga bukid, pero buot ko nga
masayran kung unsa ang anaa sa ibabaw niini."
James: "Walay sayang nga higayon kung uban ka sa Anak sa Dios."
Juan: "Ang kahilom sa bukid, murag adunay giandam alang kanato nga wala pa
nato masinati."
[Finally, they reach the top of the mountain. The disciples look around, appreciating
the view but still unsure of what is about to happen.]
Jesus: (Standing calmly, His eyes lifted) "Pabilin kamo ug pag-ampo samtang ako
mosangpit sa Amahan."
Pedro: (Whispering to Santiago) "Murag lahi kini sa atong naandan. Duna koy
pagbati nga aduna gyud niy epekto."
[Suddenly, as Jesus prays, something extraordinary happens. His appearance
begins to change right in front of them.]
Jesus’ face begins to shine like the sun, and His clothes turn dazzling white, brighter
than anything they’ve ever seen. Pedro, James and Juan are astonished and nearly
blinded by the brilliance of the transformation.
Pedro: (Shielding his eyes, overwhelmed) "Unsa... Unsa kini?! Ginoo, ikaw ba kana?
Ang imong nawong, murag nagsidlak sama sa adlaw!"
James: (In awe) "Diyos ko! Kini ba ang buhat sa Amahan?"
Juan: (Falling to his knees) "Ang Himaya sa Ginoo nagpadayag atubangan nato!"
[As they continue to gaze in wonder, they see two figures appear beside Jesus:
Moses, the great lawgiver, and Elijah, the prophet. They are speaking with Jesus.]
Pedro: (Astonished and eager) "Ginoo! Maayo nga kami ania. Maghimo ako ug tulo
ka tulda: usa alang kanimo, usa alang kang Moises, ug usa alang kang Elias!"
[Before Pedro finishes his sentence, a bright cloud appears and overshadows them.
A voice thunders from the cloud.]
Tingog sa Amahan: (Majestic and commanding) "Kini ang akong hinigugma nga
Anak, nga akong gipahimoot. Paminawa siya!"
[At the sound of the voice, the disciples are struck with fear. They fall face down to
the ground, trembling, unable to move or speak.]
Pedro: (Voice shaking) "Kini... mao ba ang tingog sa Dios mismo?"
James: (Terrified, whispering) "Ang Diyos nagsulti kanato..."
Juan: (Unable to look up, praying silently) "Diyos ko, kaluoy kanamo."
[Jesus approaches His disciples, His voice gentle and reassuring.]
.. (Touching them, one by one) "Barug kamo. Ayaw kahadlok."
[Slowly, they lift their heads, and the brilliant light has gone. They see only Jesus
standing there, looking as He did before the transformation. Moses and Elijah are no
longer visible, and the voice from the cloud has ceased.]
Pedro: (Still awestruck, in a low voice) "Ginoo... unsa ang among nakita? Kini ba
gyud mao ang imong himaya?"
Jesus: (Calm and kind) "Ayaw kamo kabalaka. Ang inyong nakita usa ka
pagpadayag gikan sa Amahan. Apan ayaw isulti kini bisan kinsa hangtod nga
mabanhaw ang Anak sa Tawo gikan sa mga patay."
James: (Looking at Jesus with deep reverence) "Ang tanan nga atong nakita, usa ka
buhi nga testamento sa imong pagka-Diyos."
Juan: (Still in quiet awe) "Kini dili makalimtan sa among mga kasingkasing, bisan dili
pa kini among isulti karon."
[With hearts full of wonder and awe, the disciples follow Jesus down the mountain,
deeply changed by what they have witnessed, though silent about it until the time
Jesus will rise from the dead.]
