Has anyone run cpuburn on a Pi 4B with a quality amp meter connected inline to the 5V (or using a bench power supply)
to see how many amperes are actually taken when it's running?

Especially for Pi 4B running on the latest firmware that incorporated many power-saving features. Would love to know the
idle power consumption as well as the absolute maximum during the hardest stress test.

Idle power is 600mA according to [Link] ... /[Link] (https://

Thanks for the sharing, but 600mA is for the bareboard. What about with the SD Card on and running the latestRaspberry
Pi OS installed?
Hope anyone who tested the power consumption could share the info here.
Thank you in advance.

Right, and the official FAQ
[Link] ([Link]
lists 1.2A average and 1.25A maximum under stress. Similarly,
[Link] ... onsumption ([Link]
consumption)
obtains 1.28A using stress while
[Link] ([Link]
claims power consumption under load (likely not stress) is 7.6 watts or 1.52A.
Given that stress --cpu 4 is known not to generate very much heat compared to cpuburn, stress likely doesn't consume
much power either.
If anyone is working on this, after the amperes used by cpuburn at stock clock settings are found, it would be nice to
underclock to 1200, 1000, 800 and 600 to see how power and performance are related. For those who want to know, my
question is related to the post
[Link]?f=36&t=272660 ([Link]
and trying to make sure there is no way to go over the continuous duty rating of the power supply.

That is what is implied by bareboard - the bare minimum needed to boot and sit at a desktop "idle"
