Reflection of Time Management Table for USS

100
When looking at my schedule noted down on
paper I notice there are more activities that take
away my energy than activities that give me
energy. I spent a lot of time on the road, or at
work and not enough time sleeping, or talking to
my loved ones. One clearly unhealthy pattern that
is evident in my schedule is waking up early and
going to bed late. I enjoy having a lot of time in
my day and I want to make the most of it but this
comes at the price of lack of sleep. One thing that
surprised me when putting all this on paper was
how busy I am and how I am constantly doing
various things. My biggest time waster was traffic
and unfortunately while I can't control that, I could
maximize my time spent in it by listening to
audiobooks or langauge learning podcasts. Moving
forward I would like to change my bed time
routine. This has been a goal for quite some time
but seeing only 4 bars for sleep is eye-opening. I
would like to work on getting a healthy amount of
sleep and planning more time to relax. Some
steps I could take to achieve this include leaving
my phone untouched for an hour before my
desired bed-time. I would also like to replace my
nightly Netflix routine with getting some reading
done. To motivate myself, I plan to pick books
from different countries to "read around the
world". However, while one could argue that it is a
time waster to watch shows but after a busy day
most of the time I look forward to getting in bed
and passing time watching Criminal Minds. I will
try to implement that change slowly with reading
before bed one day a week at first.
