Introduction
This Technical Service Bulletin is to inform you of the production change and repair method for the subject
concern. Applicable to vehicles produced before the production change effective VINs shown below.

Description of the phenomenon


Some customers may experience and report during accelerating full throttle the vehicle sudden warning
light appears, engine enters fail-safe state and lack of power occurs. DTC P023400
"Turbocharger/Supercharger A Overboot Condition" detected.

Production change information


Control software of the Engine ECU has been changed.

Repair Procedure - Reprogramming


Reprogram the “Computer, Engine Control” to the latest available calibration ID (minimum to the new CID
as shown in below table) and apply a new ECU label sticker (part number: 89661-5CD90 ) with the correct
ECU part number.

Reprogram the ECU with the latest available software (Calibration ID).

Note
After reprogramming the engine ECU, a DTC might be set. If the DTC can not be erased by using GTS,
disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.
