OVERVIEW: A business plan is a written document, which described the proposed business
or project to be undertaken in a comprehensive manner.
INSTRUCTIONS
⮚ This is a group assignment of 4 to 5 members.
⮚ The group needs to prepare a business plan for ONE selected business.
⮚ The business must be a PARTNERSHIP.
General Guidelines
1. The students are required to form groups (4 to 5 members only); positions: General
Manager; Administration Manager; Marketing Manager; Operation Manager; Financial
Manager.
2. The groups need to prepare a business plan for a selected business (it is good if the
groups are able to find one existing company as a role model (optional) as a guidance in
preparing the business plan).
3. The groups need to create an interesting name and logo of the business/company. The
groups are NOT ALLOWED to use Sdn. Bhd./Pte. Ltd. for the name of the business/
company
4. A letter from the lecturer can be prepared to assist the students to visit the company.
10. The groups should be able to show the UNIQUENESS, DIFFERENCES of their
businesses (product/service)
11. The groups are required to develop/offer their OWN products/services, not to outsource
to any other organizations.
12. The groups are advised NOT to do business that is related to vaping, cigarette, games,
alcohol, farming and gardening (orchard, rearing cattle or sheep, fish or shrimp farms).
13. The groups should “have” a physical store, NOT a fully online business, NOT to
build/have a factory, food truck, stall, kiosk, vending machine.
14. The maximum number of pages for the report is 50-70 pages.

Business concepts: an idea that is the basis for founding or transforming a business or
an idea for a business that includes basic information such as the service or product, the target
demographic, and unique selling proposition that gives a company an advantage over
competitors.

4.0 MARKETING PLAN – (15 marks)
4.1 Product/Service Description (This section describes the products offered by the
business in detail. The proposed products or services should be related to the needs and
wants of the target customers.)
Example: Lil Muffin Cafe has perfected the art of baking breakfast, lunch and
snacks. The muffins will be baked with wholesome recipes, quality ingredients and an
abundance of passion. Each of the muffin will be offered with freshest and healthiest
ingredients such as dried or fresh fruits, nuts, chocolate, extracts, herbs and spices,
cornmeal, bran, oats, dates – giving customers enjoy every bite as well as concern about
their healthy meals. The oatmeal muffins can lower the cholesterol levels, apple muffins
can improve the function of almost every system in the body and double chocolate muffins
can lower blood pressure and improve its circulation. There are more than 20 flavours in
the range with high fibre, gluten free and low-fat varieties available.
