Notes:
This method was taken from Chester Tugwell's YouTube video, which goes through the method step-by-step:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPgI_jgelFw

Purpose:
This template allows you to create an ABA line graph with a phase change line that moves as you input more data.

Instructions:

1. Input your data in the "Frequency" column. If your data isn't related to frequency, modify the title so that
it reflects the variable you are plotting.

2. In A1, enter your chart title where it says “Example ABA Line Graph”

3. Insert the corresponding dates in the "Date" column.

4. You will notice that there are two rows that have blank “frequency” data. These are the rows that will tell
Excel to create a phase line. These rows have duplicate “date” data.

5. Adjust the "date" in these rows to reflect which days you want the phase change line to separate. For
instance, if you are using a phase line to distinguish baseline from intervention data, input the last date that
you took baseline data, or the date before intervention began. For example, if it began on 03/05, input 03/04 in
both rows.

6. Ensure that you keep "12:00 PM” after the date in these two rows to prompt Excel to include a space on
the x-axis for the phase change line.

7. For the two rows corresponding to the phase change line, enter the following under the “line” column:
a. For the first row: enter “0” under the “line column”
b. For the second row, enter the formula "=MAX(B3).” This formula returns the maximum value in your
frequency (or other type) of data in cell B3 (currently labeled “frequency”).

8. The phase line will automatically adjust as you input more data.

9. To customize the graph's appearance, such as color, shape, and other chart features, double-click on the
chart element you want to change.
