The Human Body (Parts and Organs)

1) Reading: "The Human Body – A Complex System"
The human body is an incredible and complex system made up of many parts and organs working together.
Starting from the outside, we have the head, which houses the brain, one of the most important organs. The
eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are all located on the head and help us perceive the world.

The neck connects the head to the torso. Inside the torso are vital organs such as the heart, which pumps
blood through the veins and arteries, and the lungs, which allow us to breathe. The stomach, liver, kidneys,
and intestines are also essential for digestion and waste removal.

Our arms and legs help us move. Each arm has a shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand with fingers. Each leg has
a hip, knee, ankle, and foot with toes. These parts allow us to perform many tasks and activities.

The skin covers the entire body and protects us from the environment. Underneath, muscles and bones give
shape and strength. The skeleton supports our body structure, and the nervous system helps send messages
from the brain to other parts of the body. The circulatory, digestive, and respiratory systems are all essential to
keeping us alive and healthy.
