• Describir estados de emociones.


• Identificar palabras y expresiones relacionadas con el manejo
de emociones en textos descriptivos cortos escritos en lenguaje
sencillo.
Objectives:
• Reconocer expresiones relacionadas con sentimientos,
emociones, valores, cualidades, etc.
• Explicar lo que está sucediendo en este momento para
proporcionar una imagen clara de la situación actual.
• Describe estados de emociones.
• Identifica palabras y expresiones relacionadas con el manejo
de emociones en textos descriptivos cortos escritos en lenguaje
sencillo.
Indicators:
• Reconoce expresiones relacionadas con sentimientos,
emociones, valores, cualidades, etc.
• Explica lo que está sucediendo en este momento para
proporcionar una imagen clara de la situación actual.

• Discover: (10 min.)

Ss will watch the GUESS THE EMOTION (INSIDE OUT MOVIE) VIDEO in which the characters
from the movie will be introduced, ask students why Riley is feeling those emotions. With the
question What is she doing at the moment?
• Connect: (25 min.)

The T will present the SITUATIONS PPT and Ss must read the situations and mention the
emotions and feelings that are felt in each situation. In the same slide, the emotions and
feelings will appear, then the T will explain the difference between happiness/happy and so
on. Through this PPT the T will introduce 3 different emotions that are not in the movie
which are laziness/lazy, shyness/shy and surprise/surprised.

The T will also use the PRESENT PROGRESSIVE PPT to explain how and when to use this
tense.

• Experience: (50 min.

The experience will be divided into two stages:

Stage 1:

Individually, Ss will make a flipbook with the emotions from the movie, the T will tell the Ss
that the three new emotions must be created by them, how they think that those emotions
would look and what color they would be.

Print the EMOTIONS CIRCLES PDF for Ss to color, cut and paste.

In the materials folder you will find the EMOTIONS FLIP BOOK VIDEO tutorial.

Stage 2:

The T will give small pieces of iris paper of each color to the Ss so that they can describe a
situation in which they have felt the emotion represented with that color as in the example
below.

When students create their emotions, they should describe them.

Sadness is feeling sad because...


Anger is feeling angry because...
• Share: (15 min.)

The teacher will divide the Ss into groups of 4 in the following way: in a bag there will be
colored pieces of paper (1 for each emotion they have worked on during this class) and Ss
must take one and form the groups. Then, according to the color they got, they will talk about
the emotion corresponding to that color and what they wrote about in the situations where
they have felt that way. Their classmates will also comment or advise on the situation.

For example:

Student:
I feel angry when my siblings don’t let me sleep.

Classmates:
You should ...
You can ...

• Exit Ticket: (10 min.)

The T will make a circle with the Ss and pass a ball around. When a student catches the ball,
they say how they are feeling at the moment.
