PART A
EX.NO: 1 CREATION OF A LOGO USING BASIC SHAPES TOOLS
AIM:
To create a business card with a logo design by using basic
shapes tools.
PROCEDURE:
• Open a new page.
• Select the TEXT TOOL present in the toolbox and use the formatting
options to type the different styles of text.
To format the paragraph text
1. Click at the beginning of the paragraph text, and drag over to highlight it.
2. Click Text menu Format text.
3. In the Format text dialog box, click the Character tab.
4. Select any font given in the format text.
5. Click the Paragraph tab.
6. From the Alignment list box, choose any options.
7. Click OK.
8. If necessary adjust the text frame height by dragging.
LOGO DESIGN
a) Select ellipse tool from the Toolbox and draw ellipse.
b) Select rectangle tool from the Toolbox and draw arectangle.
c) Select Window show styles (Shift+F5).
d) Select the required styles and apply to the ellipse andrectangle.
e)Select the Type tool from the toolbox and type the text
inside the star.
f) Apply the styles and type the text inside the box.

EX.NO: 2 CREATION OF A NOTEBOOK WRAPPER
AIM:
To create a notebook wrapper design using fountain filling and
pattern filling tools.
PROCEDURE
1. Open a new page.
2. Select the rectangle tool present in the toolbox.
Fountain fill design:
• Select the fill tool and select fountain fill design.
• The fountain fill dialog contains TYPE, OPTIONS,
COLORBLEND and PRESET options.
• Under TYPE option, we have the options as linear, conical,
elliptical, rectangular fill.
• Under OPTIONS , specify the Angle.
• Under COLORBLEND option, choose either two color or
custom.
• Under PRESET tab, select the required option.
Pattern fill design:
1 In the fill tool pattern fill dialog.
2 The pattern fill dialog contains 2-color, full color, bitmap. Load
any one type. Then choose origin, size, transform, row or column
offset.

Thus the notebook wrapper design has been created using
fountain filling and pattern filling tools is successfully.

EX.NO: 3 OBJECT TRANSFORMATION USING BLEND TOOL
AIM:
To create multiple objects and combine them using blend tool.
PROCEDURE
1. Create multiple shapes
2. Lay them out and select the objects.
3. Choose Object Blend Make.
4. By default, Illustrator calculates the optimum number of
steps to create a smooth color transition.
5. To control the number of steps or distance between steps,
set blending options.

Thus we have transformed one object to another using blend tool is
successfully.

EX.NO: 4 CREATION OF AN INVITATION FOR COLLEGE
CONVOCATION.
AIM:
To create an invitation for college convocation using various tools.
PROCEDURE
1. Open a new page.
2. Select the rectangle tool present in the toolbox.
3. Select file open the image, place the image in the page.
4. Under TRANSFORMATIONS tab, we have the options as rotate,
position, scale and mirror, size and skew. Select the option
needed.
5. Under ALIGN tab have the options are left, right, top, bottom,
edge on page, center on page and align to grid. Choose any one
option.
6. Under DISTRIBUTE tab ,we have the options as spacing, extent
of selection and extent of page .
7. Under ORDER tab, we have the options to front, to back,
forward one, back one, in front of, behind and reverse order.
Choose any one option.
8. Apply the page background color from Layout option.
9. Using the above tools mentioned, complete the invitation.

Thus the invitation has been created using arrange menu
commands like transformations, align and distribute, and order is
successfully.

EX.NO:5 CREATION OF A DESIGN USING ALL BASIC TOOLS
AIM:
To Create a design using all basic tools like selection, cuttingand
pasting tools in Adobe Photoshop.
PROCEDURE
1) Open a file of the human Photo.
2) To unlock, double click on Background Layer and press OK button.
Now it is Layer 0.
3) Right click on Layer 0 and select DUPLICATE LAYER option and name
it.
4) Using POLYGON LASSO tool, select the face of the human body and
choose the CUT option from the EDIT menu.
5) Open a file of the dog photo.
6) Do Step 2 and Step3.
7) Using POLYGON LASSO tool, select the face of the dog and choose the
COPY option from the EDIT menu.
8) Fix the dog face into human body in proper location.
OUTPUT:
RESULT :
Thus we have used all the basic selection tools and created a
design using Adobe Photoshop.

EX.NO: 6 CREATION OF A PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO.
AIM:
Create a passport size photo by removing the background of a photo and
change it to blue color in Adobe Photoshop.
1. Prepare the Original Photo
Take a photo with good lighting and a plain or uncluttered background.
Ensure the person's face is visible, without shadows, and adheres to
passport photo standards:
2. Remove the Background
Open the photo.
Use the Magic Wand Tool or Select Subject to isolate the subject.
Delete the background or mask it for a transparent effect.
Save the file as a PNG with a transparent background.
3. Add a Blue Background
Create a new layer beneath the subject.
Fill the layer with a blue color using the Fill Tool or Color Picker.
Adjust the subject layer to position it properly.
4. Resize to Passport Dimensions
Standard Dimensions
Size: 35mm x 45mm (in pixels: 413 x 531 pixels at 300 DPI).
Aspect Ratio: 4:3.
Steps
Use any photo editor to crop and resize the image to the required
dimensions.
Ensure the face is centered and occupies 70-80% of the frame.
6. Save the Photo
Export the final image in JPEG format
Ensure the file size meets the passport office's specifications
RESULT :
Thus the design is created passport size photo by removing the
background of a photo and change it to blue color in Adobe Photoshop is
successfully.

EX.NO.7 CREATION OF A DESIGN USING FILTERS AND BLENDING
MODES
AIM: To create a design using various filtering effects and blending
modes in Adobe Photoshop.
ALGORITHM
1. Open a file which contains a color photo
2. Select FILTER menu and choose BLUR option from the sub menu
3. Choose GAUSSIAN BLUR tool and fix the pixels for radius and
then click OK.
4. Using the different options of the FILTER menu, modify the
object. For Eg:
Filter Liquify
Filter Pattern Maker
Filter Artistic Dry Brush…
Filter Blur Motion Blur….
Filter Render Lighting Effects….

Thus an object has been modified using filters is successfully.

EX.NO: 8 CREATION OF A DESIGN USING MULTIPLE LAYERS
AIM: To Create a design using multiple layers and masking two
images as background and foreground in Adobe Photo shop.
PROCEDURE
1. Open a new file have default Photoshop size.
2. Open second image in paint, select the required portion and copy
the image.
3. Paste the image in PhotoShop.
4. Select the Layer2, choose AddLayerMask button.
5. Set foreground color as black and background color as white.
6. Use brush tool to remove unwanted areas.
OUTPUT:
RESULT :
Thus the design is created using masking various images in Photo
shop.

EX.NO: 9 CREATION OF A MULTIPAGE DOCUMENT
AIM:
To create a multipage document by using character ,
paragraph , auto flow and text wrap commands in Scribus.
PROCEDURE:
Character : Type Character (Ctrl +T)
Paragraph : Type Paragraph (Alt +Ctrl +T)
Text Wrap
• Open an image. File Place.
• Select the type tool from the toolbox and type the text.
• Place the text on the image.
• Select both the text and image and choose wrap around object
shape from the control. The image will wrap the text.
Auto Flow
• Copy contents from any one of the editor(msword,notepad,
Wordpad).
• Select the type tool from the toolbox and paste the content in
the first page. A small red color box at the right-bottom corner
appears. Click that box. Text icon appears.
• In next page press Shift and Click left mouse button.
• The remaining content is pasted in the following pages.

Thus the multipage document has been created by using character ,
paragraph , auto flow and text wrap commands.

EX.NO: 1 0 CREATION OF A STYLISH MONTHLY CALENDAR
USING TABLE
AIM: To create a stylish monthly calendar sheet by using table and
its formatting commands.
PROCEDURE
1. Select Type Tool(T) from the Toolbox.
2. Select Table Insert Table(Alt + Shift + Ctrl + T)
3. Insert table Dialog box opens. Choose number of rows and
columns required.
4. Type the text inside the cells.
5. Select the text and apply Align Center and font size from
the control.
6. Select table Table Option Table Setup fill
Alternating Pattern Custom column.
7. Apply the required color.
OUTPUT:
RESULT:
Thus we have created a stylish monthly calendar using table in
Scribus.
